It's super important for parents that you're able to honor your commitments but sometimes emergencies come up!
When you need to cancel a booking, you will get a cancellation form where you will have the option to volunteer for two future dates to be backup for another caregiver in the community. Backup slots are voluntary and a wonderful way to pay it forward and help support your community of peers!
When you volunteer to be a backup, you will receive a booking request to hold your time. That time is held from 4-10pm as those are the typical range of start times for bookings in the evenings. If you are asked to help with a booking it may start after 4pm and extend beyond 10pm. Typically we will know by around 7pm if we need help for the evening and we will always do our best to let us know as soon as we think we will need your help.
You may be asked to help a family that is outside of the range of neighborhoods that you typically travel to, and if that is necessary, we will provide transportation reimbursements on an as-needed basis!
